A Manufacturer’s License allows the manufacture and storage of alcoholic liquor and cereal malt beverage in Kansas and the sale of alcoholic liquor and cereal malt beverage to distributors and non-beverage users licensed in this state and such persons outside this state as permitted by law.  [K.S.A. 41-305]. See the ABC Publication “Handbook for Manufacturers” for additional information.

Any person(s) working for manufacturers as sales representatives, who work with Kansas liquor licensees and actually solicit or take orders, either in person, over the phone or electronically, for alcoholic liquor or cereal malt beverage from licensees, are required to obtain a salesperson permit prior to conducting any sales. [K.S.A. 41-333].  See the ABC Publication Handbook for Salespersons for additional information.

Change in Kansas Liquor Laws:

OVERVIEW OF APPLICATION PROCESS:

Submit your executed application packet and supporting documentation as instructed. K.S.A. 41-319 allows the ABC 20 days to process your new or renewal license application. The time limit begins once all required documentation is received. See the Overview of the Marketing Unit's Liquor Licensing Process for Manufacturers, Warehouses, Distributors, Farm Wineries, Farm Winery Outlets, Microbreweries and Microbrewery Packaging and Warehousing Facilities for a detailed explanation of the application process.

Once the license has been approved, your company information and the Manufacturer’s License number will be posted to the ABC Active Liquor Licensee database.   To view your information, go to: https://www.kdor.org/abc/licensee/
