When Can Alcoholic Liquor and Cereal Malt Beverage (CMB) be Sold or Served?
The following chart reflects Kansas statutory hours and days, which are the maximum allowable guidelines for sales of alcoholic liquor or CMB. A city or county can impose different, more restrictive hours via ordinance or resolution.

Note 1: “Basic Sales Jurisdiction” means a city or county where retail sales of alcoholic liquor or CMB have not been expanded, or have been expanded and subsequently restricted, pursuant to K.S.A. 41-2911.
Note 2: “Expanded Sales Jurisdiction” means a city or county where retail sales of alcoholic liquor or CMB have been expanded (i.e. Sunday sales have been authorized) and have not been subsequently restricted pursuant to K.S.A. 41-2911.
Note 3: A retail liquor store may be required to cease alcohol sales as early as 8 pm by city ordinance or county resolution. [see K.S.A. 41-712].
Note 4: A retail liquor store may be open for sales of other goods and services outside of the hours for Liquor/CMB sales.
