Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control issues memos to liquor licensees

By statute, the Kansas Department of Revenue's Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control is granted discretionary powers in the interest of public health and welfare. Today, Debbi Beavers, Director of the Kansas Alcoholic Beverage Control, sent guidance notices to alcoholic beverage distributors and liquor stores concerning COVID-19.

Kansas gets new personalized license plate design

Beginning January 15, 2020, a new personalized license plate design will be seen on Kansas roads. The plate, featuring wind turbines on a Kansas sunrise, is aptly named "Powering the Future." It will serve as a reminder of the state's long history of embracing the natural energy resource of wind.

State continues seeing growth in total tax receipts

The Kansas Department of Revenue is seeing consistent growth in total tax receipts as it goes into the second half of Fiscal Year 2020. The state saw $756.6 million in total tax collections for December; 5.4% or $38.6 million above the estimate. These collections are 10.1% or $69.7 million more than December FY19.
